free to use the IRC client to acess any chatroom you desire - on austnet.
Currently it is set to access #ODPS, but it can be configured as you
wish.
Before you
click on the "connect" button, choose a Nickname to use on IRC,
and (if you like) add your real name. Simply click the appropriate
box and change the contents.
It may be more
convenient for you to detach the IRC screen from the browser to
save space on your desktop. To do this simply "click" on the 'Desktop'
button
Remember!!!
DO NOT close the browser window until you've finished chatting,
or you'll also close the chatroom connection!! Until you're ready
to quit, minimising the browser window is probably the best option)
Unfortunately,
java-challenged browser users will need to access IRC by the usual
means. Our apologies are extended to you. |
