change management

Simply the process of managing change in a company. Well duh!

However, it covers almost any alteration in working methods from a simple administration change, to an entire corporate culture change.

cherry picker

Something 'corporate raiders' do when they take over a company. Basically they keep/sell off the best, (i.e. profit making) parts and sell off the rest, often leaving an impoverished shell that soon fails.

collateral damage

Originally a description of damage caused to infrastructure by military attack, but now extended to cover the deaths of people not immediately involved in the fighting, usually civilians.

core
adj.

One of those words added at the end of phrases meaning 'fully'. Used in a similar fashion to that other execrable phrase 'to the max', i.e. She's fully sick core!"

(ed: I have to stop reading this stuff... my IQ is dropping by the minute!)

critical path
colloq.

A borrowed phrase, supposed to indicate the most appropriate steps to take in order to reach a successful conclusion in a task of project.
