Playground scrummage whereby one child throws a fistful of football cards, sweets or other playground collectables, unwanted by them or stolen off someone else, into the air whilst shouting "GROVEL" at the top of their voices. Every other child in the playground would scramble around to try to grab the said free collectable. Originated it is thought, in Liverpool.
