Game played by any number of bored delinquent kids. Quite simply, a milkbottle would be tossed from person to person until it was dropped, smashed and everyone ran off as some miserable old git would lean out of his window and shout at players to "go down your own end". The game would often start quite placidly but could be livened up by spinning the bottle as you threw it, rendering it very difficult to catch. Our particularly mischevious slant was to play it with Linda Mackie. Poor Linda, bless her, suffered from Cerebal Palsy and consequently, as soon as she threw the bottle everyone would take cover as it could go ANYWHERE. And frequently did.
