all the girls in France

All the girls in france
Do the hula hula dance
And the way they shake
It's enough to kill a snake

When the snake is dead
They put roses in their head
When the roses die it is 1965.

An alternate last line arrived from Ellejay:

She thinks the verses were the precursor to "All the Girls in Spain" as the melody used was akin to what a snake charmer's song would sound like but she didn't tell us *when* she was singing it! Also, she doesn't recall why she sang this--it wasn't for choosing or jump rope???

... When the roses die
They put tulips in his eyes.

All the girls in france
Do the hula hula dance
And the way they shake
It's enough to kill a snake
When the snake is dead
They put roses in their head
When the roses die
They put diamonds in his eyes
When the diamonds break
Then it's 1968
